    The Product Engineer: Air Filter Elements will be responsible for developing and designing air filter elements along with its associated processes to ensure that they meet the specified performance requirements, quality, cost and timing in cooperation with the project team

    Your challenge

    • Interpret and develop air filtration product designs based on customer and internal equipment requirements for automotive OEMs and aftermarket on various applications
    • Responsible for the 3D and 2D product designs in coordination with the air filter system lead engineer.
    • Cooperate with the engineering, project management and operation teams in our production plants in North Carolina and Mexico.
    • Create and maintain R&D relevant documentations and bill of materials during the development lifecycle within PDM system (Drawings, DFMEA / Risk Analyses, Test Reports, etc.)
    • Create and execute validation plan to verify product performance compliance to specifications
    • Perform engineering evaluation on systems, assemblies and components using appropriate analytical tools (simulation, product validation, stack-up, etc.)
    • Coordinate production trials in cooperation with process engineers to ensure product manufacturability
    • Investigate and research innovative design solutions to increase product value or reduce cost
    • Support sales and marketing team in the development of new business opportunities
    • Support engineering, quality, and production team on related issues
    • Support purchasing and supplier quality in the development and approval of suppliers and materials
    • Contribute towards development and attainment of departmental goals in process improvements, compliance, product innovation and product benchmarking.
    • Take ownership and initiative to support department and company through a pro-active and positive attitude
    • Actively participates in annual objectives as part of target agreements to drive continuous improvement

    Your profile

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in transportation or filtration industry OR
    • A Bachelor’s degree related to filtration, environmental science, chemical engineering or textile with applicable filtration experience will be considered
    • CAD experience required (CATIA experience preferred)
