Senior Quality Engineer

    This Senior Quality Engineer plays an instrumental role within production to ensure product / process conformity in accordance with the control plan, customer specific requirements and the right application of the MANN+HUMMEL quality principles.

    Your challenge

    • Ensures the compliance to the control plans and MANN+HUMMEL quality principles, such as Production Basics, non-conforming product, etc.
    • Supervises the Quality staff and the process and output of the staff where applicable
    • Has the authority and the responsibility to stop any process or product delivery in case of a non-conformance of customer expectations, safety or environmental risks, etc.·
    • Ensure that the related test/measurement equipment is used correctly and in functioning condition
    • Responsible for maintenance of quality documentation for series production such as control plan, inspection instructions, boundary samples and approval of visual work instructions.
    • Support production in the training of Quality Topics.
    • Ensures that external and internal Quality -Performance Information is communicated to the Operations Team (e.g. customer and internal concerns).
    • Attends the daily production meeting as a representative of quality.
    • Supports improvement of non-quality costs.
    • Ensures the completion of product audits and scheduling of layered process audits (LPA) and follow up.
    • Responsible for requalification to the schedule (control plan) and follow up.
    • Ensure the update and maintain the capability studies (SPC data collection) in production
    • Responsible for evaluation of technical changes and deviations on behalf of quality in conjunction with the Customer Quality Engineer.
    • Ensures conformance to the containment process for non-conforming parts in production. Leads the Material Review Board process for their area of responsibility
    • In case of a internal quality non-conformity leads the problem solving process with the relevant team.
    • In case of a customer complaint, leads the problem solving process in conjunction with the Customer Quality Engineer
    • In case of a field claim, is a team member in the analysis of Field Claims (Field Failure Analysis)
    • Collaborates with the Project Quality Engineer to complete the new project hand over process and ensure that new projects fulfill the quality requirements of the plant

    Your profile


    • Bachelor's in Engineering or Business Management or related field like skills with a technical background is acceptable


    • 5-7 years in Quality with at least 2 years in leadership position
    • APQP/PPAP/Lead Auditor experience
    • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma training
    • Experienced in Microsoft Office Applications

    Required Skills:

    • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Methodologies
    • Metallurgical knowledge
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Good presentation skills

    Preferred Skills:

    • Expert with ISO 14001
    • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
    • Experienced with CMM capabilities
