Sr. Manager Planning – Aftermarket Americas

The Senior Manager Planning, Aftermarket Americas will be responsible for Forecasting, Repackaging Supply Chain, CPFR, Finished and Trading Goods. The core competencies of this role include data analytics, lean material flow, inventory controls. The success of this role will be aligned with and measured to achieve our Delivery, Quality, Service and Cost priorities and drive standards of excellence throughout the finished goods supply chain.

Your challenge

  • Represents the Supply Chain function on the Leadership staff, including performance reporting, budget management, strategy contribution, decision-making and communications.
  • Manages the annual employee Performance and Talent Management processes through engagement, strong leadership and coaching to maintain a robust staff that evolves into future leaders an is resilient to unexpected events.
  • Develops, aligns and standardizes inventory/planning strategies to effectively support the Aftermarket Americas Business Unit and all related sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Sets and manages inventory levels by defining clear max inventory levels and manage to those.
  • Executes inventory/planning processes in partnership with global standards, sales, manufacturing, purchasing, finance, and other key business stakeholders.
  • Ensures timely communication regarding inventory levels and key performance indicators to keep organization informed of inventory issues and supply chain performance.
  • Develops and maintains effective strategies to optimize cash flow related to the productivity of inventory investments for assigned locations.
  • Direct owner of KPI's related to Days of Supply (DOS) of inventory, Forecast Accuracy and Order Fill.
  • Monitors inputs and hold suppliers accountable for on time delivery and backlog.
  • Identifies potential supply chain issues, provides analysis and recommends solutions.
  • Directs the analytical support for all supply chain initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Analysis of demand patterns (sales forecast) together with demand planning to achieve a smooth production plan.
  • Leads in the identification and implementation of new technology and processes to improve supply chain functions.

Your profile


  • Bachelor`s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Mathematics, or related field


  • Minimum 5 years progressive experience in a managerial role in Automotive, Manufacturing and Supply Chain preferably (with exposure to high volume, high mix)
  • Experience in OTM Transportation Management System
  • Deep understanding of all components of the supply chain process (e.g. inventory planning, demand planning, procurement, operations, warehouse management) with an ability to identify areas for operational improvement

Required Skills:

  • Strong managerial and leadership skills, including assertiveness
  • Strong knowledge of the SI&OP process, Forecasting, Demand, Supply, and Financial Planning.
  • Strong knowledge of creating budgets, reporting numbers and data analytics.
  • Strong organization and planning skills and ability to work effectively in a matrix management organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates expertise in SAP
