Your challenge

Review, approve and process international/export orders to include:

  • Managing the inventory allocation & order fill of the orders
  • Co-ordination of replenishment dates for any back-ordered portions
  • Communication with M+H International Sales (MHIS) and direct with international customers regarding their order status
  • Maintain relationships & communication with M + H International Affiliates
  • Work with Freight Forwarders and steamship lines to book ocean shipments

Co-ordination of international shipments

  • Arrange ocean container drops and drayage to the port
  • Manage cut-off times for both the container drop and document cut-off time with MHIS
  • Work as the export coordination point for US Customs and shipment management for export M + H projects.
  • Coordinate international shipping activities with Order Processors and MDC operations team. 
  • Issue and assemble documentation for export shipments and submit to Freight Forwarder and International Sales Group and/or overseas customer.
  • Manage containers on the yard – what container # goes with each booking, has the container been dropped at the MDC, etc.
  • Log & maintain Container Cycle Time Data
  • Successfully resolve complex shipping issues. Log and Track any issues to develop counter-measures.
  • Ensure timely & professional communication with international clients around the resolution of shipping issues.
  • Develop and maintain shipment tracking measures.
  • Support and assist customer service, sales & marketing as well as various other departments with any international customer service programs or project launches.

Responsibilities continued:

  • Co-ordinate with MDC operations regarding outbound loading status, equipment arrivals, and carrier live-loads.
  • Co-ordinate daily yard report and call-ins for equipment pick-ups and drops.

Responsibility & Authority as Related to Quality:

  • Assist drivers as they arrive
  • Ensure that quality standards are met and/or withhold shipments
  • Identify/record any problems relating to product/process/quality systems and control further processing or non-conforming product.

Your profile

Education:

  • Associates Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field

Experience: 

  • 2-5 years’ international shipping experience in a related role
  • Experience working with internal and/or external customers.
  • Must have strong working knowledge using an ERP system…SAP or AS-400 preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Must be biliterate in Spanish
  • Strong, demonstrated computer skills, proficiency of Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal skills
