Your challenge

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading a team to safely and efficiently receive deliveries and pick and pack and ship customer orders. He/She is responsible for inventory management including shipping, receiving and in-house product movement and knowing the business well enough to identify and resolve day to day issues in the warehouse. The Warehouse Supervisor organizes and supports customer´s quality-related visits and audits. In case of an audit finding, he/she organizes the investigation, correction or corrective action and verification.

  • Orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees and communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions
  • Enforce policies and procedures.
  • Lead material handlers in proper warehouse standards focused on productivity, quality, and customer-service
  • Resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
  • Assure the accurate, efficient and safe movement of inventory and slotting
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Assure efficient equipment operating by proper training of material handlers and enforcing operating instructions; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Train employees on use of warehouse management system.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy along with slotting and cycle counting
  • Lead two way communications with employees.
  • Assure safe operations and lead 5S housekeeping initiatives.

Your profile

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

  • 5-10 years warehouse operations experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in supervision of material handlers and warehouse operations.

Required Skills:

  • Good technical knowledge of a WMS System
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Computer skills (MS Office) and SAP

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or other related area.
