Your challenge

The Director Sales – Aftermarket Americas OES develops, implements and executes the sales strategies for the assigned global customers. They are responsible for the achievement of the planned sales goals with the assigned customers and leads a team of key account managers, sales managers and administration staff.

  • Develop and implement the global sales strategies and identify new business opportunities for the defined customers to achieve the M+H short and long-term sales goals for AA OES in cooperation with the VP Sales OES/Private Label/First Tier
  • Lead, direct, develop and coordinate a sales team of KAMs and administration staff and ensure that the team members follow the developed strategies
  • Steer the strategic and operational planning processes
  • Develop and implement the pricing strategies for the defined customers in cooperation with the VP Sales OES/Private Label/First Tier
  • Maintain positive and strategic business relationships with the assigned customers
  • Negotiate the long-term contracts in cooperation with the VP Sales OES/Private Label/First Tier and coordinate the customer activities on a worldwide basis
  • Review and monitor the sales performance periodically to ensure that the long-term goals are met
  • Account for the sales performance for the specific group of customers worldwide and ensure compliance with the global sales strategy, implement changes in the sales strategy in the area of responsibility (if necessary)
  • Plan, implement and control the cost budget in the area of responsibility
  • Initiate and steer corrective actions in case of deviations
  • Monitor the market and industry trends to ensure the M+H competitiveness and analyze the competitors´ situation
  • Forecast the customer/market trends for forward planning
  • Guide, motivate and develop the directly and indirectly subordinate employees within the HR policy
  • Ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed

Your profile

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration or related field of education

Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in sales, business development
  • 5+ years of related managerial experience

  • Strong technical background and varied product experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills

  • MS office suite

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • Knowledge/experience in filtration (engineering, manufacturing, sales)
  • Automotive aftermarket experience
