Job Description
About the role:
In this combined Data Analyst & FACTON Specialist role, you support project controlling through accurate data handling, reliable system administration, and meaningful reporting. You will work with quotation phase projects, manage the project cost calculation system (FACTON), and contribute to digitalized data flows that enable better decision making. This role collaborates closely with Project Controlling, IT, R&D, and Business Controlling in an international environment.
Your responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage project cost data within the project cost calculation system (FACTON) to support management reporting and decision making.
- Design and develop business oriented Power BI dashboards to monitor project performance, cost KPIs, and profitability trends.
- Support quotation and development projects by providing data inputs for profitability analysis and cost structure evaluation.
- Act as a key interface between Project Management, IT, and Project Controlling to ensure smooth information and data flow.
- Perform system administration tasks for the project cost calculation system, including maintenance and coordination of system updates.
- Coordinate global user training and support rollout of new functionalities for controlling teams.
- Lead and support digitalization activities, including development and optimization of the PLM tool (CIM) vs. project cost calculation system interface and preparation of data integrations for new storage solutions.
Your profile:
- Education: Secondary or university degree in Business Financial Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–3 years in project controlling or data/business analytics within a manufacturing environment; solid technical aptitude and experience working with digital tools and systems. Juniors with strong analytical skills and motivation to grow in this area are also welcome.
- Required Skills: Strong MS Office skills (especially Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard creation); familiarity with CIM or another PLM tool; understanding of project cost calculation systems (FACTON is a plus); experience with SAP is an advantage.
- Languages: Excellent English, minimum B2 level; German is an advantage.
- Competencies: Analytical and independent working style, strong presentation and communication skills, ability to collaborate across multiple departments, interest in digital tools and data flows; international experience is a plus.
