Global Supplier Day 2022: Award for key suppliers
Guided by the motto "move", the filtration specialist honours its most outstanding partners with Supplier Awards. More than 60 companies exchanged views on the trends and challenges of the industry at the supplier day.
MANN+HUMMEL: Impressions from the Global Supplier Day 2022
Ludwigsburg, 4th July 2022 – A partnership network with suppliers has been indispensable for MANN+HUMMEL not just since the Corona pandemic. At this year's Global Supplier Day, which took place at the Technology Centre in Ludwigsburg and was broadcast live, the focus was primarily on the topics of digitalization, sustainability and supply chain resilience.
At the opening of the hybrid event, Chief Procurement Officer Hanno Höhn emphasised the importance of reliable partnerships within the so-called VUCA world ("volatile, complex, uncertain and ambiguous"), where staying on the move is essential. "The past year was characterised by fragile supply chains and rising energy and logistics costs. We are therefore all the more pleased that we were able to defy the difficult market conditions with our partners. Our result was stable, but we still see some potential for further growth and transformation. A key element for us in the future will therefore continue to be the reliability and flexibility of our suppliers," said Chief Procurement Officer Hanno Höhn.
Joint transformation journey
The fact that partners along the supply chain play a key role in the vision of "Leadership in Filtration" was also confirmed by Kurk Wilks, CEO and President of the MANN+HUMMEL Group, who joined the Supplier Day via video message. Impressive keynotes were given by Dirk Müschen, Senior Vice President Purchasing of Deutz AG and Martin Klein, Vice President Engineering Filter Elements at MANN+HUMMEL, who shared their perspectives on current industry trends and challenges.
"A very successful event, with lots of networking opportunities and exciting insights across the marketplace formats. It's always special to meet our key suppliers, build on existing relationships and exchange new ideas," said Oliver Schmitz, Vice President Purchasing Global Production Material at MANN+HUMMEL.
