Meet MANN+HUMMEL at IAA Transportation 2026

MANN+HUMMEL filtration solutions enable the fuel cell system to function properly and extend its service life. In recent years, we have observed a trend toward fuel cell applications for heavy-duty and off-road applications and will therefore be presenting our new components designed for system powers of up to 400 kW.

The humidifier from MANN+HUMMEL protects fuel cell membranes from drying out, providing a high level of humidity by transfering water vapor from the exhaust air to the intake air. The flat-sheet membrane concept ensures low pressure loss.

Powerful high-voltage batteries are the core of electric mobility. Our VentPlus 2.0 venting units ensure the protection of high-voltage batteries by preventing the ingress of water and dust into the battery system.

Excessively high temperatures due to continuous use can cause temporary shutdowns and reduced charging performance of DC fast charging stations. Our air and ion exchange filters prevent overheating and protect against short circuits of both air- and liquid-cooled charging stations.

A key challenge for hydrogen engines is moisture control in the blow-by and engine oil. Flushing the crankcase with fresh air reduces condensation and emissions through a highly efficient CCV separator. In addition, the high water content in the engine oil requires a fully synthetic oil filter, while an H₂ filter and a water/oil separator are under development.

MANN+HUMMEL has developed an advanced cabin air filtration technology that combines three functions in one system:

• High-quality cabin air filter media for high filtration performance
• Ionization to enhance the efficiency of the cabin air filter throughout the filter’s lifetime
• The Cyclo-Multi-Sorber system to effectively reduce humidity and CO₂ levels

Automated processes can reduce costs and save time. For this reason, MANN+HUMMEL is working on a comprehensive software solution—including sensor technology—to monitor filter status and, as a result, is setting the standard when it comes to predictive maintenance.
