In Memory of Manfred Wolf

Manfred Wolf

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Manfred Wolf, a remarkable leader and long-standing member of the MANN+HUMMEL community, who passed away.

With his passing, MANN+HUMMEL loses not only a former Managing Director, but also an extraordinary personality who shaped the company in a profound way over many years.

Manfred Wolf joined MANN+HUMMEL in 1995, initially taking responsibility for the Aftermarket business. In 1998, he became a member of the Executive Management team. Until stepping down from the Management Board in March 2016, he played a decisive role in the company’s development during pivotal years. With courage, determination, and entrepreneurial clarity, he left a lasting mark—particularly in the expansion and success of the global Aftermarket business.

He held himself to the same high standards that he expected from others and from the company. He demanded a great deal, but never more than he was willing to give himself. His leadership was characterized by clarity, conviction, and fairness.

For many colleagues, Manfred Wolf was far more than a Senior Executive. He was a mentor, a trusted advisor, and a source of inspiration whose influence extended well beyond his formal role. He believed deeply in putting the right people in the right positions, in empowering others, and in always placing the customer at the center of everything the company does.

He treated people with respect, sincerity, and openness—always direct in his communication, yet approachable, and often with a subtle sense of humor. Many remember him as someone who inspired trust, encouraged personal growth, and led by example.

Even after stepping down from his operational responsibilities, Manfred Wolf remained closely connected to MANN+HUMMEL as Shareholder Representative and member of the Supervisory Board—an expression of his extraordinary loyalty and deep bond with the company.

A Lasting Legacy

Manfred Wolf’s legacy lives on not only in the development of MANN+HUMMEL, but also in the many people whose careers and perspectives he shaped.

Last year, this legacy was also reflected in the “Manfred Wolfpack Run,” a global initiative launched across several MANN+HUMMEL locations. The run brought together employees, families, and local communities worldwide to raise awareness for Parkinson’s disease and support research efforts.

Held across multiple international locations, the Wolfpack Run symbolized unity, commitment, and purpose—values that Manfred Wolf embodied throughout his life. The initiative supported organizations such as the Michael J. Fox Foundation and local charities, helping to advance research and bring hope to those affected by the disease. The strong participation and team spirit demonstrated how deeply he remained connected to the MANN+HUMMEL community.

Supporting Parkinson’s Research

At the Wolfpack Run in Ludwigsburg, Manfred Wolf, his wife, Thomas Fischer (Non-Executive Chairman), and Kurk Wilks (President & CEO) marked a donation of $30,000 in support of Parkinson’s research.

Moments of Exchange

The Wolfpack Run created space for connection, dialogue, and shared commitment beyond the run itself.
