MANN+HUMMEL at SIMODEC 2022

MANN+HUMMEL presents its range of oil mist separators at SIMODEC 2022

Ludwigsburg, 15 February 2022 - MANN+HUMMEL will present solutions to remove oil and emulsion mist from production halls in the metalworking industry at SIMODEC 2022 from 8 to 11 March in La Roche-Sur-Foron (France). Filtration is a key technology for healthy workers, safe factory floors and a clean environment.

The modular ScandMist product range from MANN+HUMMEL offers several installation options: Stand-alone solutions, solutions for direct mounting on the enclosure of a machining center, or as a custom-designed central system that separates emissions from multiple machining centers.

ScandMist offers customers numerous advantages:

The low total cost of ownership of the solution is outstanding. This is made possible by the design and the long service life of the filter elements. All ScandMist products are equipped with a resistance-regulated EC motor and a Micatrone control unit. EC stands for "electronically commuted" and provides high precision continuous speed control. The EC motor significantly reduces energy costs and minimizes noise emissions. The Micatrone control unit also detects the resistance on the filter elements and automatically adjusts the fan speed so that the preset air volume flow is always extracted. In this way, the system always operates with the optimum air flow and minimizes energy consumption and costs.

Depending on the model, ScandMist separators consist of two or three filter stages that achieve a long service life: a pre-filter, a coalescence separator, and a class H13 HEPA filter. These stages separate 99.95 percent at 0,3 μm particle size according to EN 1822 of the aerosol, thus providing cleanroom-level indoor air in production halls. The filter specialist MANN+HUMMEL develops and produces the filter elements in-house and customers can choose from a wide range.

An industrial standard plug connection on the individual units facilitates electrical connection. The input and output signals available as standard enable the filter to be controlled remotely, for example when the machining center is switched on. Likewise, two individually programmable output signals can indicate a pending filter change.

The MANN+HUMMEL booth is located in hall B1 booth I14.
