The entire MANN+HUMMEL world

MANN+HUMMEL presents solutions for cleaner mobility, cleaner air, and cleaner water at Filtech.

Ludwigsburg,14. February 2022– Filtration is a key technology for a cleaner future: At Filtech, which will be held in Cologne from March 8 to 10, 2022, all of MANN+HUMMEL’s business units will present solutions for cleaner mobility, cleaner air and cleaner water under the motto “Leadership in Filtration for Cleaner Mobility, Cleaner Air and Cleaner Water”.

Cleaner Mobility

MANN+HUMMEL will be showcasing its media expertise in the filtration of air, cabin air, oil, fuel for vehicles with internal combustion engines and for vehicles with alternative drives. One of many highlights will be the ion exchange filters for the cooling circuit of fuel cells. The filters from the IonFree modular system keep the electrical conductivity of the coolant low and thus reliably protects the fuel cell drive from dangerous short circuits. In developing them, MANN+HUMMEL drew-upon more than ten years of experience in the field of ion exchanger technology to increase the service life of fuel cells.

Cleaner Air

Under the motto "Cleaner Air", MANN+HUMMEL will be presenting its solutions for cleaner air used to protect people, processes, and the environment. Among others, MANN+HUMMEL Molecular GmbH (formerly Helsatech GmbH), specialists in the removal of molecular contaminants, will be present at the MANN+HUMMEL booth. Together, solutions for clean rooms, as well as buildings which protect against particulate and molecular contaminants in the air will be presented.

In addition to the antiviral HEPA air filters for HVAC systems, the antiviral air cleaners of the OurAir series will be a product highlight. Thanks to their H14 air filters equipped with ePTFE media, they are an important and effective element in the fight against the Corona pandemic. New to the range are the optionally available FreciousComfort prefilters for the units, which feature an activated carbon layer and an additional coating for a further enhanced anti-allergenic effect. As a result, they not only protect against unpleasant odors, but also effectively trap free allergens and inhibit microbial growth on the filter. Allergy sufferers can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The air purifiers are designed for rooms up to 200 square meters. They are powerful, quiet, and can be combined in modular ways thanks to integrated plug-and-play functionality. Infectious virus particles, bacteria, and microorganisms are filtered out of the air at a rate of more than 99.995 percent. The areas of application for the air purifiers are extremely diverse: kindergartens, schools, universities, retirement and nursing homes, office buildings, restaurants, retail outlets, event venues, and even certain means of transport.

Other products in focus include air filters for building filtration and solutions for cleanrooms such as filter fan units and HEPA air filters.

Cleaner Water

MANN+HUMMEL Water & Fluid Solutions will present membrane solutions for the filtration of wastewater and process fluids. Featured products include TurboClean spiral wound filter elements, available for all membrane types (RO, NF, UF, and MF), and manufactured with a precise diameter that reduces bypass flow - compared to conventional sanitary spiral wound modules - by 60 percent or more.

One product highlight is BIO-CEL EASY. As a compact membrane bioreactor solution, BIO-CEL EASY also enables communities without a direct connection to a wastewater disposal network to treat their wastewater on site. Furthermore, it enables industries to individually treat wastewater at the point of origin. BIO-CEL EASY is an integrated solution consisting of a tank and a filter unit that can be easily assembled and expanded. The MBR system can be easily commissioned by the end-user according to the plug-and-play principle and features easy and user-friendly operation. The system is also cost-effective and scalable. One unit can treat the wastewater of up to 125 PE.

Other focus areas include the BIO-CEL Activated Carbon process and the Filter Line series. The BIO-CEL Activated Carbon process is used in wastewater treatment in municipal wastewater treatment plants and completely removes trace substances, antibiotic-resistant germs and bacteria.

The Filter Line product group consists of prefilters used to protect membrane technologies. The range includes cyclone filters, strainers, self-cleaning filters, bag filters, and cartridge filters with a filter bandwidth of 800 to 1 µm. This allows all types of water to be pretreated easily and effectively. It can also significantly increase the efficiency and service life of UF, NF and RO systems.

Represented at the booth for the first time will be MANN+HUMMEL subsidiary Seccua GmbH. Seccua is a global leader in water treatment for private households, public buildings, businesses and municipalities through advanced ultrafiltration technology.

Seccua is the manufacturer of Urspring, a whole-home water filter that eliminates up to 99.99999% of all bacteria, parasites and up to 99.99% of all viruses; also particles such as microplastics, rust and turbidity from drinking water and delivers pure, safe, and great-tasting water to every tap in the home. Combined with additional Seccua filters, pollutants such as pharmaceutical residues, pesticides and hormone-like substances in the water are also significantly reduced.

The MANN+HUMMEL stand is in Hall 8, Stand C11.
