• Green bond issued for 150 million euros • Refinancing successfully concluded for part of tranche due in 2020 for initial green bond • Maturity periods from five to ten years
Ludwigsburg, 23. October 2019 – MANN+HUMMEL has issued a green bond with a volume of 150 million euros. The green bond has been issued in tranches with maturity periods of five to ten years and is offered with both fixed and variable interest rate. The transaction was managed by BNP Paribas, ING and Unicredit. The green bond was certified by Sustainalytics, the leading service provider for research and ratings in the area of sustainability, environment and management.
MANN+HUMMEL will use the net proceeds to partly refinance the tranche due in 2020 for the initial bond from 2015. The current issue is already the second green bond transaction undertaken by the company. In 2017, the leading global filtration expert was the first automotive supplier worldwide to issue a green bond as a financing instrument.
"With the renewed green financing, we are following our long-term corporate strategy of separating the useful from the harmful with filtration. Accordingly, projects in the fields of air and water filtration, renewable energies, sustainability and environmental protection will be refinanced. Our approach is proactive rather than reactive", notes Emese Weissenbacher, Managing Director and CFO.
The investor base includes German and international investors.
