MANN+HUMMEL Annual Report: Digitalization is everything

Our core product may be analog. We are not. Digitalization helps us making our logistics, finance, HR and product development more efficient and sustainable.

About Matthew Nunn

Digitalisierung ist alles Matthew Nunn

Matthew works as a Data Science Manager in our IoT Lab in Singapore. He was the first employee at this seminal location.

What Matthew appreciates the most about MANN+HUMMEL besides the numerous digitalization topics? The human atmosphere of a family owned company. Although more than 22,000 employees work for the organization worldwide, the management knows his name and face.

Together with the teams in Singapore, Germany and the United States, Matthew develops data-based solutions - to optimize logistics, finance, HR or to improve IoT applications. The team's skills are needed everywhere and the demand is continuously growing.

In 2022, Matthew primarily focused on improving inventory management. A project that ran for many years and has now been successfully completed. Thanks to his team's digital solution, production and logistics can work together even more efficiently.

Medical drugs: a universal remedy?

Modern medications are meant to do good, but they don't cure everything. Sometimes they make things worse—for example, in our wastewater. We ensure that everything that should not be in our water is safely filtered out.

Chemistry must be right

It takes two to tango. And chemistry plays a big role. This is true not only for successful cooperation with customers, but also when it comes to binding odors permanently. We take care of that. In the kitchen. In the bathroom. And wherever else there is bad air.
